The name comes from an imaginary childhood character dreamed up by owner/designer Penny’s mom. Rollo Pinkerton was the name of the man Penny was destined to marry, supposedly. In fact, we can’t imagine life without it.</p> <h4>Paper &#38; Envelopes</h4> <p>As of 2008, our paper goods are printed on FSC-certified and / or recycled card stock. FSC (Forest Stewdardship Council) Certification means that the wood used to produce the paper has been responsibly harvested. “The intent of the FSC system is to shift the market to eliminate habitat destruction, water pollution, displacement of indigenous peoples and violence against people and wildlife that often accompanies logging” (See <a href="http://fsc.com">fsc.com</a>). This can be a more important factor to consider than recycled content, as it means that the paper is produced in an eco-friendly way in the first place. We use lots of different envelopes, many of which are made with recycled content. If you need more specifics about a particular product, please inquire, because paper stock options are always changing. Our individual cards are packaged in protective biodegradable "cello" sleeves.</p> <h4>Printing</h4> <p>Our paper goods are printed in the USA, at a printing facility that is part of the FSC chain of custody certification. We print using only vegetable- and soy-based inks.</p> <h4>Tote Bags</h4> <p>Our tote bags are printed on a unique fabric that is 80% recycled cotton (scraps from textile manufacturing) and 20% recycled post-consumer PET (plastic water &#38; soda bottles, food packaging).
